On August 23, 1896, Bonifacio lead the Katipuneros in tearing their cedulas symbolizing their determination to take up arms and fight the Spanish Colonizers. It was known as the Cry of Pugad Lawin. On August 23, 1907, the next colonizers ban the display of the Filipino Flag.
